I’ve been editing videos since I was a kid. It’s always fun and exciting to see how people want to tell a story with a specific vision through visuals, audio, and pacing. Over the years I’ve learned new technologies to help make certain visions become a reality. Take a look at some examples of my work with video:
Deenis, open up a vimeo account and put your videos up there (except the Shogun one, they don’t allow commercials).

I think you develop a creative way to portray and illustrate stories and ideas in your videography.
In “Poem Typography,” the movement of the text, the directions in which it leads the eye, and the layers it creates adds a fantastic dimension to the poem. I especially liked the car animations at the end. It allows the poem to have an entirely different ending than it would’ve had it just been published on paper.
I enjoyed the video interpretation of “O Living Always — Always Dying” — it’s interesting that you’re creating contemporary ways of enjoying poetry — very different from spoken word poetry, recitations, or publications in literature. The static of the tv and the voices calling “Dennis” are excellent elements. I’m glad you also incorporated the “Dennis” voices in your CD.
The accentuated noises in the video incorporating bits of your day are an excellent way to draw attention to the small elements of daily life. I like how the accentuated noises dissipated when the sounds centered on your music — since music is much more than a daily bit in your life. By the way, that video underscores that smoking “once in awhile” is relative haha. Your artistic and musical fans are distraught at the idea of one day losing you years earlier than necessary. Additionally, I loved the contact solution going back up in the end of that “Self Portrait.”
I like the graphic design work that went into playing with the image of you in your “Lucid Dreaming.” The faces appearing were a bit odd — maybe a more of a transition into them? — but it’s reminiscent of dreams since dreams often transition suddenly. I’m in love with the rest of the video from then on, and I believe it really depicts flying. Beautiful work!
The last video had cool elements, but it didn’t hold my attention very well. Perhaps do more research on a psychotic so that you could create a more dimensional view of what such an individual experiences. Other than that, it was a neat exercise demonstrating what you’re able to do that could fit well into other realizations of art and ideas.
Just as an fyi, the Shogun video did not play. If you have a way to update it or provide another link that would be excellent!
I look forward to seeing any and all future projects and work. Best of luck!

After reloading the page, I was able to preview the Shogun restaurant promo. The images of fire are fun — very applicable since that’s part of the entertainment that is expected at a hibachi grill. The use of music and text celebrating the restaurant work well.
Thank you for sharing your work!
